Ember Kennedy, a Criminologist and Psychological Profiler that profiles mainly serial killers and sociopaths, and Jordan James, a Homicide Detective, both living in Copper Canyon, Alaska are finally getting married. They had been in an on again/off again relationship for thirty years. Both of their jobs had taken them away from each other, they had fights that made them break up, but they always found their way back to each other. This time was finally their time. As they were saying their vows everything goes black and they wake up in their wedding attire in Copper Canyon, but the year in 1825. The Sheriff has been murdered. They don't know what is going on, but there is one man who seems to think their is a malevolent spirit in the wilderness of 1825 Alaska that some call The Shadow Man.

As Ember and Jordan investigate and pieces start falling into place, they realize that The Shadow Man doesn't just live and kill, kidnap and torture women in 1825. He built a machine to somehow transport him and his victims back and forth over centuries. The one place that always remains true is WhisperWind Hollow. In 1825 it is the center of Copper Canyon with caves and tunnel systems. In 2025 it is a Victorian home in the center of town that 13 women were found dead in, with no killer to be found.

Now they must fight to save the town, fight to save their love, and fight to get back to their own time all the while eluding The Shadow Man.
