Long after the stars burn out and the universe goes dark, one civilization survives around a black hole. They gather power from a black hole by harvesting its rotational energy, but soon they need to find another solution. During this process, the main character Genkob, realizes that surviving is not living. He ponders the meaning of life and his purpose, while also working to save his people.
