As a boy, Tom Roberts was shot in the head. Luckily he recovered fully and as a side effect had gained the ability to read people's minds. This ability has made him very effective in his adult role as a Paralegal working in London.
A job to interview a suspect who has been arrested for murder, to ascertain his innocence or guilt, leads to Tom becoming deeply involved with the Police to track down the real guilty party.
As the layers are peeled away,a plot by an unknown group to unleash a biological weapon in the UK and the USA is uncovered and Tom's ability places him at the centre of the race to find and stop it, while simultaneously dealing with threats to his life and those of his family.
