Admiral Carl Mondeved had commanded the battle group that had been given the mission to completely destroy the Xiavaixians. However, as the battle was about to begin, the Xiavaixians managed to escape. This brought an end to the Invad Interstellar War and peace to the galactic arm. With the cessation of hostilities, the Grand Alliance began to reduce the size of its space fleet. Rather than taking a reduction in rank and being assigned to a desk job, Carl transferred to the Explorer Corps. His ulterior motive was to find the Xiavaixians, who had said they wouldn’t return for a thousand years. Although he had come to terms with the fact that the entire Invad War had been a tragically horrible mistake, he still felt the need to meet with them personally and achieve some degree of closure. After almost ten years of fruitless searching, he is once again reunited with his Clobian counterpart, Bashop Co-Mor-Ae, the only being that had ever met the XiavaiX. Together they embark on a mission that could drastically alter the future of both the Clobian and human races.
