Full Description

The world is a mess. It wasn’t Artificial Intelligence that made this mess though, that was perfectly natural stupidity. It was 2103, I think, when scientists declared they had created a true artificial general intelligence. The singularity. They turned it off again two hours later because they couldn't afford the electricity bill.
Naturally enough, AI was perceived as an existential threat by some and the logical way forward by others, so of course global holy war broke out, and things seem to have spiralled a bit since then.

Dive into a world of the not too distant future, which is looking slightly if not entirely dystopian. Glimmers of hope remain, and it may just be that humanity can get better than our track record would suggest. Take the point of view of a reluctant soldier doomed to fight ‘always where the fight is most desperate, and the need is greatest’, just trying to save as many as can be saved. When a chance encounter creates an opportunity to save not just a few but potentially billions, it seems an obvious choice… but it will mean redefining what we mean by humanity.
