Full Description

The Moon was the place to be in the mid-2100s for space research but the need to house the influx of people for the big push to Mars was greater than could be done with conventional construction equipment. Boulders that needed to be moved to create more living space presented engineering challenges that no machines could solve. So, they decided on a century’s old method . . . if they could make it work.

Jim Kendrick, the resourceful Chief Architect of Lunar Colony 3, realized that the large sprawling research facility needed to be expanded quickly. He was a man who spent his life working difficult projects on Earth, so it was no wonder that the Moon wanted his expertise as well. On the Moon he was now faced with the problem that defied conventional engineering – until Alicia Kollins, one of his bright young staff, came up with an idea that seemed so far-fetched and so old that it just might keep their construction schedule on track.
