Ethan has a new daughter, his best friends Jasper and Ana are planning a family and he and Maddy are finally able to have a little time to themselves. It is a sharp contrast to the stress of his unwanted position as liaison between the United States armed forces and the Yosimite forces and he is determined to keep his work and home life separate. But after his troublesome Yosimite translator is arrested, Ethan returns home to find that Ana and his daughter have been kidnapped by his old enemy the Purg.
Now he and Jasper must race against time to find and rescue those they hold dearest.
