In the near future, automatic surveillance systems, supported by drones, will control the world's population. Six test subjects, three women and three men, including Simon Peters, take part in a dubious experiment with a fatal outcome. Jens Rieker, a disillusioned journalist whose press portal critical of the government has been closed, lives as an outlaw in a ghetto-like neighborhood in the apartment of his ex-girlfriend Yvonne. With the help of her, her brother Simon, the monk Tendzin Champa, the IT specialist Bernard Kiefer and an unknown helper, he tries to get to the bottom of the true background in order to save the lives of the test subjects. They are all moving on increasingly dangerous terrain.
