The Mix. A benign but decadent Empire, the self-proclaimed force for good across countless systems, where all life is sacrosanct, from sentient droids through the billions living in habitation ships and all the way to the Cogs, almost omnipotent super-computers who cater for society’s every need and keep it running smoothly. Where there are few rules and fewer secrets, a kidnapping becomes the biggest, the crime so huge that to reveal it might rip the Mix into warring factions.
Repercussions result in an attack by an almost level-tech enemy, the Surenthrans, dragging a secretive and clandestine Nudge Unit into the fray, where anomalies in the general narrative of the greater conflict become obvious, unravelling a conspiracy that could rage for years across both spheres of influence. Finally, they face an enemy that will either unite both warring factions or condemn billions to their deaths.
