Driven by curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, a team of scientists sets out on an unprecedented mission: to drill further into the Earth's crust than anyone has dared before. Led by geologist Jonathan Harker, they are determined to reach beyond the boundaries of human understanding, to unlock secrets buried deep within the earth.
But as they dig, they disturb something that has been waiting in the darkness for a very long time.
