In the novel “Katie 42 – Intelligent”, artificial intelligence and climate change, which have a strong impact on our lives today, are introduced in a suggestive way. The story of an android gaining consciousness is set in the near future, anticipating what might actually happen one day. For a presentation at Fantasy Basel 2024, excerpts and illustrations from the novel were used, focusing mainly on the character of Katie. The excerpts are preceded by a short introduction, which also serves as a connection between the excerpts. The result is "Katie Fourtwo - The Story within the Story", about a fifth of the total length of the novel.
