The ancient salvage ship Axilogast, with its diverse alien crew, have found and salvaged a mysterious ship. Inside they find an escape pod, jammed in its launch tube. Its occupant is found to be still alive despite being in hypersleep for a thousand years. They remove the pod from the ship. But what they learn when they do has them running to barricade themselves in their bridge and cower in fear. For the creature in that pod is none other than a member of the most terrifying race ever encountered in the history of the galaxy ...a human!
