Many people think that science and religion contradict each other, and they are not entirely wrong: most religions feed on the human stupidity that science fights against. However, when a real scientist encounters the real God, he usually does not become religious, but begins to recognize the limits of his science and to fight against the stupidity of those who believe in the omnipotence of science. Science fiction literature is an excellent tool for this.
