The surviving Immotus from the Martian war that came to Earth were afflicted by an incurable and merciless disease caused by the residual radiation of the disruptor weapon used by the Lumenis. This slow-progressing disease corrupted their organic crystalline cells, forcing them to divide without control and eventually killing the afflicted individual.

Attempts to find new effective treatments were futile, as the drugs could only slow the progression of the disease, and eventually, the disease became resistant to all possible drugs.

However, after a few years of study and experimentation with humans, the Immotus found a cure that ironically worked only on human biology. With the clock of death ticking, they made an astonishing decision. They decided to transition their conscious soul into human bodies and abandon their old dying bodies permanently, becoming, in fact, humans.
